Need more project ideas...

Ok guys, I havent used my welder for a few weeks now and its bugging me. I need another project. The only thing I can think of are car ramps and jack stands. However, I could just buy those for like $15, being I dont necessarily trust me welding holding my Jeep off the ground, although an rc rollcage can support me standing on it.Let me know what projects you have done, and remember....PICS!I'm 21 and learningAvid 4wd enthusiastASE Master tech (Automotive), mechanic/fabricator by trade

I started a new job latly and its my first non welding job in almost 3 years, I was in a position where i needed a job, and the first place to call me was a company who builds RVs, i wanted to get into the welding shop there but  they had an opening installing paneling and cabnets and with The position I am in I had to take it. now when i get home i look for things to make in my shop, and any projects around ther house i try to involve welding in some way lol. i even welded a pipe onto the head of a splitting maul latly to keep me goin trough withdrawls haha. I am determined to get some pics posted of my work soon, when i can afford a digital cam.Nothing Ever Got Done By Quitting, Never Give Up.
Reply:i've got plenty of small project ideas, but no cash for the metal... a few ideas:- can crusher- pneumatic spud gun... a tire valve, a cap, round tubing, a reducer, a valve, and a barrel... and voila! an instant kitty killer- small holiday artwork... try making a small metal pumpkin or some christmas tree ornaments for the family- welding table- stoarge cabinet(s)/shelves- bed frames- shop furniture- re-inforce your garden tools- re-inforce your shop furniture- under-car creeper- rolling seat creeper- tool caddy for working on your jeep (small table with wheels)- if you feel REALLY ambitious... make a BIG snow-thrower. throw a V-8 on it... look up a Hemi-powered snow thrower on the internet... they are rediculously awesome. completely over-powered, but when do you really ever had "too much" power?hope that helps get the creative juices flowing again...later,AndyLast edited by aczeller; 10-28-2007 at 11:56 PM.
