I bought the lincoln sa-250 arc welder and drained all the old gas out, changed spark plugs and it started right up and sounded good. The next day after i moved it it suddenly its not starting . i cleaned and sealed the glass gas chamber, but now i'm at a loss..also does anyone know a site to go on to get a copy of the owners manual?
Reply:Could sediment block the fuel line during moving? Maybe you broke some crap loose?UA Local 598
Reply:I would bet it's fuel related. remove the fuel line at the carb and drain a small amount of gas into a container. Make sure you have enoungh fuel flow.My biggest problem with keeping my SA200 runnig was the sed cup. I took it completly apart. Made sure fuel would flow from it. I then added an inline fuel valve between it and the carb.I don't EVER touch the sediment cup anymore. I turn the new fuel valve On before I start and Off before I shut it down. This also limits the chance of a fire from a leaking carb.
Reply:thank you for all your advice...i'll try these things out and let you know if it worked
