Reply:Naw.. I dont see a problem..  Do you have a tatoo in flames?Common sense in an uncommon degree is what the world calls wisdom.
Reply:Looks like all of Southern Ca. last month!!!!!!! I like 'em!!!And then, after so much work...... you have it in your hand, and you look over to your side...... and the runner has run off. Leaving you holding the prize, wondering when the runner will return.
Reply:One question - When you have a real fire in the shop, how do you know what to extinguish?
Reply:are you learning to airbrush? :P (on the vise and backsplash)Looks like you´re getting to it...I´ve seen some Rides/overhaulin programs in which a little guy did some flames to a camaro and an helicopter and other stuff... It looked so great..I can remember he used white too...My Babies: HF Drill pressHF Pipe Bender3   4.5" Black and Decker angle grindersLincoln Electric PROMIG 175that´s it!
Reply:We used to paint flames on Lexan bodies for radio controlled cars.  Yours are nice!DavidReal world weldin.  When I grow up I want to be a tig weldor.

Reply:The vice is awesome, now if I could just do that. You got to continue this thread with some tutorial info on how you do that. That workbench backdrop is pretty awesome too.

Reply:Thanks guys, Here's a pic of the tools of the trade. You can buy better patterns but I just cut mine out of cardboard. I usually start with the red and fog in an outline/background of what I want, I usually don't use the stencil to much for this part. The orange goes on next with some use of the stencil. You don't want a whole lot of hard edges (but you do need some) at this point. When I'm doing the yellow, I'm trying to add to and enhance the shapes created in the first 2 coats. This is where you bring out the detail and try to make the flames dance. Here's one I did on the door of my entertainment centre in the garage. I was trying to get a skull shape into it.If you don't want to stand behind our Troops, feel free to stand in front of them.
Reply:cool little motocycle better than mine....what dtd you make the motor outof cant see it...... nice flames
Reply:Thanks King, the crank case was a couple of large nuts welded together, The cylinders were made of stacks of various sized washers to give it fins and create a larger head.If you don't want to stand behind our Troops, feel free to stand in front of them.
Reply:Here's a little better pic of the v twin.If you don't want to stand behind our Troops, feel free to stand in front of them.
Reply:looks like you got some hot tunes coming outta them speakers! cool. what did you do with that big eagle you made? that thing was awesome.
Reply:The big eagle is still sitting on my bench with about 200 of the 280 feathers needed. I usually only work on it when I'm "in the mood", I seem to do a better job that way.If you don't want to stand behind our Troops, feel free to stand in front of them.
Reply:Originally Posted by SWellsThat guy is Mike Lavallee (Killer Paint is his company), he has this stuff figured out to a science!.
Reply:I was gonna say I hope he hasnt flamed the eagle, LOL which we need an update on
Reply:The eagles pretty safe....but the black 280Z is at risk. I haven't done much work on the eagle in the last while. I started a new job 70 miles from where I currently live, just listed the house. The move will throw a big kink into my garage time. Here's the eagle link for those that don't know what were talkin' abouthttp://www.weldingweb.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=6957If you don't want to stand behind our Troops, feel free to stand in front of them.
