TIG and MIG welder in 1 machine

Does anyone use a welder that does MIG and TIG welding? What brand is it and do you like it?Where have all the good times gone?
Reply:Mig and tig? Miller's XMT is probably one of the best on the market with the right accesories. Not exactly your average hobby machine however, but used you can get set up for a bit more than the average upper end 200 class or 250 amp class mig would go for new.The only down side is it's DC only tig, so no alum. Miler had some older multi purpose machines also that I understand were quite good..No government ever voluntarily reduces itself in size. Government programs, once launched, never disappear. Reply:Are you referring to DC only or AC /DC when you say TIG? I ask because many beginners (I apologize if that's an incorrect assumption) associate TIG with aluminum capabilities (which is not necessarily correct). That said, I haven't found a multiprocess machine that does AC / DC TIG, plus MIG. Many multiprocess machines do have DC TIG capabilities, along with stick, and MIG if you add a wire feeder. The XMT 350 is one of them.
