my grandfather was recently diagnosed with alzheimers and is now in a nursing home so we had to clean out his house and garage. i brought home a hobart g-213 that i remember him having it mounted on a old chevy scottsdale years ago, it may not be worth a fotune but is priceless to me just because it was his. he repaired equipment for about everybody in town, built several trailers, log splitters and snowplows. sucks that so much knowledge is lost. got a few other things like a arm bustin 5/8 drill, some old torches, a i-beam with a vise that now sits in the middle of my garage floor because i use it everyday. Reply:Good on you but unfortunately the most valuable thing was lost, his knowledge. He must have been a professional judging by how well he took care of his tools.
Reply:Absolutely a professional. Those are in meticulous condition. Sorry to hear about his illness. I hate getting good things that way. One of my grandpas was the head engineer for the Sherwin Williams plant in chicago, and he died of brain cancer. Man he had the answer for everything until he got sick. But now I make sure I talk to him when I am using something of his, kinda keeps us close. I wish your grandpa the best."Where's Stick man????????" - 7A749"SHHHHHH!! I sent him over to snag that MIC-4 while tbone wasn't looking!" - duaneb55"I have bought a few of Tbone's things unlike Stick-Man who helps himself" - TozziWelding"Stick-man"
Reply:And I will try to remember to take a pic tomorrow, but I think I got the same drill from my grandpa!"Where's Stick man????????" - 7A749"SHHHHHH!!
