New guy here, I would like to connect a Miler matic 10a to a Lincoln DC250. Need to know the how the contacts are wired... just short them or do they need to be energize and if so what voltage. I have diagrams for both, just don't know what the Miler needs. thanks Ed
Reply:Assuming you're looking at DC-250 manual IM-341, the Lincoln requires a set of closed contacts to activate weld output whereas the Millermatic 10A sends out a 115vac contactor control voltage. Therefore, you have to follow the hookup shown in manual IM-341 on page 25 on the right that requires adding a relay (115vac coil) controlled by the MM10A RC3 (manual O1037C) to provide the NO dry contacts between terminals #4 and #2 on the DC-250 and supply 115vac power to the MM10A from DC-250 terminals #31 and #32. You should provide a ground between the two as well on the GND terminals.MM200 w/Spoolmatic 1Syncrowave 180SDBobcat 225G Plus - LP/NGMUTT Suitcase WirefeederWC-1S/Spoolmatic 1HF-251D-1PakMaster 100XL '68 Red Face Code #6633 projectStar Jet 21-110Save Second Base! |
