316L to Al-Bronze?

I need to defer to other experts on a question I received this morning at work.The USBR is replacing a large Al-Bronze pipeline with 316L stainless.  They are hoping there is a way to keep the massive Al-Bronze anchors and weld the new pipe to them.It doesn't sound feasible to me, but I'm not the expert in this area.  I was thinking of recommending brazing, but I'll bet the parts are too large to make that feasible, too.I'm thinking they'll have to replace the anchors, too.  Any thoughts?
Reply:i don't think it's possible myself, i don't have many brazing hours under my belt, but still... i'll see if my dad can ask the metalurgist at his work, he is a genius with this stuff!!StangnetShop Full Of Stuff. Joey
