Reply:I still gotta make and weld a bung to it for the bolt that adjusts the axle and do all this again for the otherside. Also credit to www.jerrysdiycorner.com for the free plans on the angle iron straight edge.Ive always used anything strait that i could find but his little invention is really a better mouse trap. anyway my finger is tired. Reply:Good stuff!I use a Bridgeport and an Endmill for slots... ...zap!I am not completely insane..Some parts are missing Professional Driver on a closed course....Do not attempt.Just because I'm a  dumbass don't mean that you can be too.So DON'T try any of this **** l do at home.

Reply:Thanks fellas! and Zap in fact i was just drooling over an old an old Bridge port the other day on craigslist, 2K with a lot of tooling.I tried to tell the wife she could use it to fold clothes on when I'm not using it. but she thinks it would be to messy in the laundry room I knew i should have just surprised her Any way my carport shop is 9 by 11 and i have a 9in southbend lathe . I got a helpful hint from a pro at www.mechwerks.com he says in a pinch i could chuck up an endmill, bolt a piece of angle iron to my tool post and use some vise grips to clamp my axle plate to the angle iron Wallah! milling machine. Ill probably use that tip down the line but right now I'm just trying to show what can be done with a few simple toolsVictor SuperRanger O/A                                         Solar migLincoln Powermig 140Southbend 9in lathe350# kohlswa anvilMiller Maxstar 150 stl etc....

Reply:I've got a buddy that runs a laser. He doesn't do the programming, but for about $50 to set it up, they'll run anything for the price of the sheet for him. That's a clean cut....yours also
Reply:I love plasmas....however a good set up torch w/ a good operator can create those fine pics postedGood woork weld it like you own it
Reply:Clark - Kentski, That was a Damn fine Job. My hat is off to you because you are like me. I dont have a milling machine and all that good stuff like the local pro's of this board has. I have been surfing this board for over a year and never posted because I just enjoy to watch the arguments between all the overblown ego's of these so called pro welders. These same PRO's tried to start there own website but it folded...GO FIGURE... It sounded like 12 eight year old girls fighting over a Teddy Bear at a slumber party.HEY ZAP..... You commented on how nice his axle plates where. But then you had to coment on how you do yours with a Mill....Well no ****. If he had a mill I am sure he would have used it. His post was about how to do it in your own garage without having to use all your bosses equipment to get it done
Reply:Clark,That is awesome! I have a plasma and I can't cut as well as  you do with a torch. But then again I can't draw a straight line or a circle with a pencil so that may explain it. I think it's cool that you were able to get duplicate cuts. Even on a good day I can't duplicate a turd. Let's see some more of your work!!
