I've just found out about weldingweb.com What a great resource. I have a Century 130 wire feed welder. It's not the best, nor the worst MIG I've played with. It was cheap and I've used it to make a lot of stuff on my truck and various things for my wife. I weld like a BLIND MAN WITH PARKINSONS but so far nobody's gotten hurt. I make it a point to only weld on my stuff and nobody elses. The thing that has always annoyed me about the welder is that there is NO chart on the inside cover of the unit. It's not the end of the world but I'd like to know what are recommended settings are when I start to work. I've always been a 'RTFM' kind of guy.Anybody have a Century welder 'near' a 130 that does have a chart??
Reply:my flux only century has nothin either..StangnetShop Full Of Stuff. Joey
Reply:I've had my Century for a few years and it's done a good job on everything from shelves and racks to gates to repairs and fabrication on our sand rail. Got a TIG welder on my wish list after I'd finished a few classes at our local CC. Really helped with my MIG too that's for sure. Here's the chart from my unit:
