SAE Baja Car: Need Help!

Hey everyone! I'm on the SAE Baja team at Ohio Northern University, and each year we build a small off road race car that we race all around the country against schools from all over the country and a few teams from around the world.  This year, we are required to give a "sales presentation" where we pitch our idea to potential investors and explain how we would produce this on a mass production scale.  I'd like to get an idea of a realistic retail price the general public would be willing to pay, so if you guys wouldn't mind, could you please post what (specific) price you'd be willing to pay for this? Reply:I agree with Ed 100%.A RZR would smoke that car...but for $15k you get the RZR S.EFI twin cylinder 53hp63+ MPH top speed12 in of travel...with 2 people in it....or 4 people if you have the RZR 4, like I do. Reply:I don't know anything about these SAE cars but you mentioned that the Rules limit your engine size so..if the Frame and Suspension can handle a bigger motor then you could possibly market the Car as a Kit sans Motor and have the end user instal whatever motor they desire.As you can see lots of competition in this class Baja car/Kart.Lots of folks want to build their own vehicle but lack the machines like Welders, Benders etc but have a Geerage and can turn a wrench.Good Luck with your presentation, ain't bizness Fun? Reply:Something like that 3 to 5 k  tops you can get a rzr or a new canam 1000 for 10 to $15,000 and it would blow that things doors off.Vantage 300 kubota ,miller 304 xmt ,lincoln ln 25 pro , ranger 305 G, plenty of other tools of the trade to make the sparks fly.
