I'm new to the forum and new to welding, although I've been practicing quite a bit. My first real project is to make some control rods (low stress application), and some of the parts I have to weld are 4130 chromoly, with the others being mild steel. Do I need anything special in the way of wire or gas to join dissimilar alloys?Thanks in advanceJoe Leone
