The photos are sorta out of order, but it gives some viduals of the welding etc.  It is what I am running in my car now and a few others as well.  I built everything from scratch including the brackets on the rear.  The rear is a MOSER 12 bolt with posi-track and 33spline axles, 4.11 gears.http://s26.photobucket.com/albums/c1.../Solid%20Rear/Best Times with 434 Naturally Aspirated Vette60 - 1.261/8 -  6.37@ 107.25 MPH 1/4 - 10.08 & 134.9MPH1/4 - 9.60@144MPH
Reply:Hey I always wondered, when drag cars lift the front end like that, can it starve the oil pump? Are most cars that are powerful enoguh to do that dry sump?
Reply:when u say solid rear......what does that mean? Non-IRS or solid mounted? I'm guessing non-irs as vettes started coming IRS shortly after? I believe. Also, why run the wishbone rearward?
Reply:Oil starvation,,well actually when its up on the rear tires the oil is forced to the rear of the sump area where the oil pump is.  It also runs up into the last two cylinders 7 & 8, but for it to completely get away from the pump it would have to mean that the car was upside down and at that point you have bigger problems.  lol  Along the same lines, most cars experience MORE oil starvation at the end of the track when you hit your brakes and the oil runs to the front, plus more is already through the engine leaving less in the sump.  I had this problem for a while, but installed an accumulator.  The wishbone out the rear was an idea I had so I did not have to cut the car up.  If you saw how tight it was under the car you would see what I am talking about.  By Solid rear I mean non-IRS.  The IRS is very weak and prone to breaking in several locations.  I have gone through just about every part there is in it.  VERY costly over the years.Best Times with 434 Naturally Aspirated Vette60 - 1.261/8 -  6.37@ 107.25 MPH 1/4 - 10.08 & 134.9MPH1/4 - 9.60@144MPH

Reply:would a fully forward link setup not slam the tires into the ground, rather than a 50/50 or full reverse setup lifting them? You may get even better times if you don't mind a sawsall and some extra bit of fab.

Reply:dont take offense so quicky. im merely asking a question. A reverse 4 link lifts the wheels, a forwards gets FAR better traction. A far as I have EVER heard, read, and been told a full forward link setup outdoes any other style. tkae it as you wish, just asking.

Reply:i could be worng but i have always heard bad things about 50/50 setups. pinion angle change being one. having a point on top of the axle pulling that rearwards, and the bottoms pulling it forward, it tilts the pinion upwards. Now how that affects a drag car i dont have a clue, but i know with trucks that have air ride on them its a big no no. if it works it works, not saying its "wrong"

Reply:,,,, i spotted a C4 sat. that looks like a prime build-up car,,,need to find the owner now
Reply:Honestly with this rear setup now available to make them more reliable, they are probably the best car available to setup for racing.  They have the perfect weight bias, engine back design, seating back, and aerodynamics all in their favor before you even start doing anything major to them.  Good luck and let me know if you need any help with anything.Best Times with 434 Naturally Aspirated Vette60 - 1.261/8 -  6.37@ 107.25 MPH 1/4 - 10.08 & 134.9MPH1/4 - 9.60@144MPH
