I am buying a new welder very soon I have been looking at the lincoln 185 and the miller180. My question is does the built in pulser on the lincoln make a big deffrence when welding 4130. Do I even need a pulser? This will be my first tig machine I currently use mig and mild steel. I want to start using 4130 and tig for a cleaner look.
Reply:Pulsed TIG is useful for reducing heat input to the weld. Handy for very thin work. It makes no difference what the alloy is.Hank
