One brake light at a time

Yesterday after about six hours of heavy duty wire brushing on some old cast iron patio furniture my mind must have stopped working correctly.  For some reason I though it would be o.k. to put the grinder with the 4" cup brush on my knee, while it was still spinning at full speed.  To say the least I needed a break, It must have been all the red on my knee that made me realize how sucky the brake lights looked on my welding trailer so.  I took a break from brushing and started my new project.One brake light housing coming up. Reply:yeah i'll look into those knee pad things.. tonight I got the guts of my old brake light mounted into the housing, Ive gotta pick up some plexi to make the new lens cover.  I'll put up some more pics shortly..

Reply:Have you finished the lights? I hope to be building a trailer soon and will custom build the lights but also wonder how your lens came out, what you used, etc.....On my utility trailer I am tired of the lens getting broken and making lights like yours will fix that problem as well as allow creativity.I plan on doing the same with my license plate holder. It is always getting bent up and hangs by only one bolt. Time to do something serious for it also.Lets see the latest pictures.
