Hello everyone, I'm looking into the thermal arc 185 inverter very seriously, but I am a little confused about one thing. I was looking into the spec sheets and see that in TIG mode the welder needs 29Amps of input power. But when reading the operations manual it shows that it needs a 40Amp line fuse. I'm wondering if I need to get a 30AMP or 40 AMp breaker to wire this into. Any help is appreciated. Thanks
Reply:get a 40 amp, when you start a high amp arc it might pull up to 32 and trip your 30 amp breakerStangnetShop Full Of Stuff. Joey
Reply:Thanks Viper for your help. I got the welder up and running. It is one sweet machine. It's my first tig machine, and I really like it. One question though, do you ever have error codes E14 and E99 show up for a second when you turn the machine off? I've checked in the manual for the causes, but it doesn't seem like a problem. Thanks again for your help.
Reply:the one i've worked with never gave me an error code. check with who you bought it from to see if they know exactly what's upStangnetShop Full Of Stuff. Joey
Reply:My thermal arc machine also has the same error codes when I shut off the machine
Reply:Mine has the codes on start-up and shut down. Normal. |
