Hey Gang,I was having lunch yesterday about 5 km from the Iranian border, at a little place called Badra. The chowhall consisted of a tent, with steel frame that had been locally fabricated out of square tubing. I couldn't help but notice the extremely high quality of the welds. Well, I just happened to have my camera with me, so here's a treat for you. I have no idea who the "skilled craftsman" was, but figured he must have used the "close your eyes" technique. Enjoy... Reply:Yup, that's crap and doesn't even count as a weld.More seriously, Hooah. Be safe. And as part of being safe, get those tents FIXED! You are under them, when the wind blows and they fall apart you will -really- be under them! Get maint to fix 'em. No welders around? Drill and bolt them together, use lots of bolts to spread the load across the tubing.
