Front Strut Tie Bar Jig

I finally made some progress on my strut tie bar jig this afternoon. This is a project that I set a side a while ago, due to the need for a press brake. Well, now that I got a little one for my shop press, its time to finish this thing. Im about 90% done with it, just 2 more supports and a couple of clamps. BTW its for making front strut tower supports bars for the 1994-1999 Toyota Celica. One of my jobs, in addition to welding, where I work, is production design and I have designed & fabricated 82 jigs/fixtures so far just at work and probably 35 in my home shop. They are for the ease and ability to produce multiple items that maintain "Repetitive Consistency". If this is your first, you will begin to see the infinite applications that jigs & fixtures will accomodate to be able to produce the items you want to make & maintain a cost-effective profitable product. Reply:Thanks yorkipap. This is actually my 4th jig. I built one with my old business partner for another type of car, and a couple really simple jigs for making other stuff I sell. I tried to build this one with all recycled parts. The majority is made from scrap angle, and scrap pieces of metal out of my scrap bin. If you have insight on jig building, please fill me in. All you have to do is give me an idea of what you need to configure, sizes, attachments, and fastening parameters and I will try to furnish you with some of the fixtures I made and you can look at them to see if you can adapt the design for your needs.
