Reply:Thanks for sharing.The sleeve method is a common technique. The concentric circle idea is a good idea for somebody how burns their own tread. ME! Once you have the steps as necessary. You can heat and bend to match the tread, just lay it out on the steps. If you have a roller it would be much easier. If you use round stock then it is easier, flat stock has to be twist to remain parallel. A complete simple spiral set of steps and rails could be functional in a few hours, easily. though you definately need to know codes and build to the maximum allowances. Headroom becomes a problem quickly.Spirals are easy, it is one place where the fabricator can compete with the sprial kits and still make money. |
