just came across a miller s.c.e. 12vs feeder & couldnt pass it up, I tested it out on my millermatic 200 mig welder & it worked great ( it currently is loaded with lincoln flux core wire) first time i have ever welded with fluxcore & will definately need some practice. Anyway I figured it would be great if i could throw it on the truck & power it off of my lincoln outback 185 but not sure if it will work with that machine, the 185 is in the truck which is at the dealer for service till next week so i cant try it yet. any thoughts?? Reply:Sure will. The "VS" (Voltage Sensing) version is designed to work with Constant Current type (stick) machines. Reply:got my truck back early, part is on national backorder, anyway, tried the box out on the outback 185, it works, but really strains the machine, bogs it right down no matter where i set the amperage so i will keep it down to a minimum. I am really impressed with its performance running off my mm210. it looks like it has a spool of lincoln ( core shield or cover shield .52 wire) the label is not to clear. after reading the inner cover of the suitcase It was recommende to run a 75 25 mix @ 20 on the flow meter, Man nice smooth & shiny beads, really nice unit, glad i had the 200.00 to buy it! |
