Here is a couple mods I made on my mowing trailer today. I still have to build boxes rear of the tires and change the taillights before I paint.The black line represents where the top rail used to be.This is a much better setup then the 1/2 pipe I had for the old hinges.You cant see it but there is now a truss from side to side at the rear. Since the trailer has sagged a little bit making the ramps closer at the top then the bottom. I welded the center first then jacked it up from the center and clamped and welded the ends.Note to self.......The jacket in the avatar pic is Not for welding....EVER

Reply:Thank you Sandy. Of all places I picked up the latches at HF for just a few bucks a piece about 8 months ago. I started to put the latches on the side rail but ended up much happier having them on the ramp.I only mow 5 yards but between friday and today 3 of the 5 called saying geeeeee we thought you would have already been here.. So it looks like tomorrow is clean up and first mow day. Bad news is its lookin like rain off and on for Sunday.Ummm wounder what the wife would say if I tell her I need money to buy steel for a cab for the mower???? Oh ya gota have windows too.On second thought maybe I wont ask, she kinda gave me a look  like that one when she came out today and ask how many welders do you need? The 120 had flux in it, the 180 has mig wire in it, and the stickmate is for the OMG stuff. Well thats what I told her anyways.
