Lincoln Invertec v205-T AC/DC tig welder

how is everyone doing. Iam wondering why I can't come across anyone who has had the experiance of using the lincoln v205 AC/DC tig welder? maybe this tig is to new or no good? any info would be great.

Reply:thanks for the reply wheat.thats what I was afraid of ,something imported.I originally was set on getting the dynasty 200dx but my local welding supply store told me I could only get the full 200amps out of the machine if I was running on 3 phase. in my shop now, Iam running single phase 230volt,at that power set up I was told I would only get 150amp max from the dynasty.I also was told that with the lincoln v205 on single phase at 230volt I would get the full 200amps from the machine. thats why I was undecided.
Reply:I have one for the last 2 years, I am very pleased with it. It has the lincoln warranty ,and I do not care if it is made in Italy, this machine is great.On single phase you get the full 200 amp on dc at 32 amp draw, if you run on AC, there is a small restriction, above 80 cycles up to 150 you are limited at 170 amp. This has not bother me so far.I have done stick with it and it has a great performance.This unit in my shop is used for tig dc and ac.I would not hesitate to by one great machine..Have fun Michel

Reply:The red one pick the red one.   I got the v200t- no ac on it, she's 5 years old and has had a hell of a hard life. She's at the shop getting the HF looked at but I don't mind because she's done that much work (on 3 phase) that it's time to put her into retirement soon. It would be interesting to know how many tonne of rod's she's burned Stephen
