I was subcontracted some structural work on a hotel renovation at a state park in Alabama. Just thought I would post some pics of what's going on. This is a shot down the lobby.and then the front as you would drive up.A few metal studded walls in the soon to be conference center. Here's my cubby hole where I stay most of the day. I am adding frame work for the roof mounted A/C units to be set on. Going to be about 25 units added on top. You can see the cross bracking of the frames in the back of the picture.A shot of the old bobcat from up on the lift.I'm a Lover, Fighter, Wild horse Rider, and a pretty good welding man......
Reply:But atleast the scenery isn't to bad...I'll try to get some better pics of the steel working next day I am onsite, and post a few progress pics as it goes along....I'm a Lover, Fighter, Wild horse Rider, and a pretty good welding man......
Reply:Which state park? They re-did the one up at Guntersville not too long ago...it took years to complete. My wife and I frequent the AL state parks because we are pretty close to several. Cheaha is close also and is one of our favorites. You could be in for a full-time job for a while. Those last two pictures look like Guntersville! Are they still working on that?!Last edited by smithboy; 04-17-2008 at 10:48 PM.Smithboy...if it ain't broke, you ain't tryin'.
Reply:It's Lake Point In Eufaula, AL on Lake Walter F. George. It's a two year renovation contract, but the bulk of what I am going to do will be done within the next couple weeks. However, I will be in and out until all the welding on the job is finished. .I'm a Lover, Fighter, Wild horse Rider, and a pretty good welding man...... |
