Hey guys. There is an old racecar builder here who is selling a mm 35 for 600 dollars. it somes with tw 200sq ft bottle of gas and a roll of cast iron mig wire. is this a good deal? and also i wanted to know if I can run a spoolgun with this machine. I didnt have a lot of time to look at it last nite. appreciate the help.
Reply:Predecessor to the bulletproof MM200, the MM35 was the first to combine the power supply and wire feeder in one package and is a good machine. However, it was never built to readily accept a spoolgun but can be used with a Spoolmate 185 or 3035 with the seperate SGA-100 weld control. If one is mechanically inclined and adept at basic electrical circuits and wiring, the MM35 can be upgraded to include the Miller standard 14-pin remote/spoolgun receptacle with a little effort. All that said, personally I feel $600 is a little high for a MM35 even with a 200cuft bottle and a little wire. A guy a couple hours from me has had a MM35 in very good shape advertised for $400 OBO for a couple months and hasn't been able to move it in an area that is usually good for used welders.MM200 w/Spoolmatic 1Syncrowave 180SDBobcat 225G Plus - LP/NGMUTT Suitcase WirefeederWC-1S/Spoolmatic 1HF-251D-1PakMaster 100XL '68 Red Face Code #6633 projectStar Jet 21-110Save Second Base! |
