Today was a good day for welding..Lots to do..Couple of "Bigger" than usual heads for a roller I have to make..4" shaft with 3/4" thick head plates..First pass..Stitch finish pass..Inside head rear weld..Next!...zap!I am not completely insane..Some parts are missing Professional Driver on a closed course....Do not attempt.Just because I'm a  dumbass don't mean that you can be too.So DON'T try any of this **** l do at home.
Reply:More inside welds..Heads done..The only weld to get the stitch is the outside where it will be seen..All others are just one pass..Now on to the flat stuff..Stuff..Tacks..There is no need to weld the whole length so you space them out every 2.5" inches and do every other..But do the opposite on the bottom VS the top and also VS the other side..Next!...zap!I am not completely insane..Some parts are missing Professional Driver on a closed course....Do not attempt.Just because I'm a  dumbass don't mean that you can be too.So DON'T try any of this **** l do at home.
Reply:Bottom tacks..Ok begin welding..Start in the middle then do the ends on the bottom before flipping it over to do the top..At this point it's OK to complete the top before doing the finish on the bottom..Just skip around when doing it..Do one weld then opposite side and skip around..Sorta like tightening a 8 lug wheel..Bottom welds..Top inside welds..There is no need to show all the welds..They all look like this..Tomorrow I'll post the roller construction..I get all the fun jobs.....zap!I am not completely insane..Some parts are missing Professional Driver on a closed course....Do not attempt.Just because I'm a  dumbass don't mean that you can be too.So DON'T try any of this **** l do at home.

Reply:Very nice as usual like all your other work!!just wondering on what your technique is?Do you do any hand pattern motion when doing your first pass on those round rollers or do you just do a straight weld? do you pulse or no?
Reply:Another professional looking job everyone of us envy.Just a generic question about your bare steel jobs:  I know some customers are probably waiting to cart away their goods even before they're properly cool.  What about the others?  Do you oil them to prevent surface rust while the customer makes up his mind when he wants to take possession?
