recently bought this machine to power my suitcase extreme feeder & it works great. was fooling around today & decided to try stick welding with the machine but not sure how to set it, seems like ther is no output in cc mode, i got it to weld in cv mode but welds look like they had been sandblasted after i chipped the slag, tried 6013 & 7018 both the same.what mode would you use??? the manual is not very helpful, any thoughts. I really only need it for the feeder but would like to know i could stick weld with it too. Bob Attached Images
Reply:called arc products & spoke with eddie, tried a few things while he was on the phone & confirmed the cc/ tig side of the main board has failed! around a 360.00 repair. think ill just keep usin it to power the suitcase.
Reply:Probably not worth it to justify repair cost when some of you guys are picking up Pow/Cons for little more than that.I did have the opportunity to stick weld with one once and I found it was one of the nicest stick welders I have ever used. They are rare around here but I would have bought one in a heartbeat if I could have found a used one at those prices. If you can replace the main board for $360 I think this is a very reasonable cost to repair a great old welder.I like my v350 Pro just fine, but a Pow/Con SMT would have done the job as well at a much lower cost."The reason we are here is that we are not all there"SA 200Idealarc TM 300 300MM 200MM 25130a SpoolgunPrecision Tig 375Invertec V350 ProSC-32 CS 12 Wire FeederOxweld/Purox O/AArcAirHypertherm Powermax 85LN25 |
