Hi guys.Hope you aren't sick of reading my posts as I pick your brains and draw on your knowledge and experience. For no particular reason, I wanna get a stick welder to play with it and see if I can learn to stick weld "reasonably well". I don't know much about welding except what I'm picking up by searching the internet. Trouble is, I don't understand all the specs when I read about a certain welder.I can get either of the below stick welders for $300. delivered. Both have a 5 year warranty, and 30 day "trial period". From reading this forum, I know that some of you have "Everlast" products, but I haven't seen any posts about "Longevity" products. What are the pros and cons for each stick welder below?Which one would you pick and "why"?http://www.everlastgenerators.com/Po...00-391-pd.htmlhttp://www.longevity-inc.com/product...ckWeld-250.phpThanks GuysDon <

Reply:I only seen the 35% duty cycle. I must have had mine about 2 or 3 months now. As I said before it will weld with any of my SA-200s, and out weld my Dynasty 300. Here what it will do with 6010, and 7018 on 2 inch pipe. Reply:Genesis you may want to ask your questions in the Everlast and Longevity forums!! That way the actual owners of the welders that you are interested in can provide you with relevant answers based upon actual experience.Co-Own CNC shop:Miller :1251 plasma cutter, MaxStar 700 TIG/Stick, & XMT 456 Multiprocess Welder.& 2 Hypertherm HPR260's Plasma CutterSorry I had a bad stroke but now I am back.
