I am an amateur when it comes to soldering and I would really appreciate if someone can help me figure out a process for soldering operation.I need to tackle the problem of soldering a looping wire (95%Al) to Al3003 tube. Basically the aluminum tube has slanted groves on it and this is where the looping wire will sit and extend from one end of the tube to another (looping around the tube). A binding wire is simply meshed around the looping wire and it should look something like a cylinderical brush as in url below.http://www.cylindricalbrush.com/I simply am looking for an industrial high production process that can be used to solder the looping wire to the tube. Also, if the looing wire can be coated with flux and used as filler metal or separate filler will be required, if so what would be some options to look for filler for this operation and which solder operation will be the best (laser soldering? Induction heating?)I am not sure if I have clarified the problem so please let me know if its unclear and I would greatly appreciate any help with this one! Thanks,
Reply:try the brazing book for info... aluminum alloy soldering/brazing is very specialized.http://www.fpga-faq.org/sb-metal_hol...razingBook.pdfor Google brazing book and enquire at Handy Harman
