Made these up last week for a friend of mine. Nothing fancy, the big one is for his shovels, brooms, and picks, the small one is for his gas cans.1/4" angle, 3/4 x 1/8" expanded, 2"x2"x1/8" box...should hold up for a little bit. Attached Images

Reply:Looks nice. I like any storage that brings more order to this worldJust a notion: who is going to paint those boxes? What about the dirt from the road? There was some consideration against sheet metal covers instead of the mesh?In any way many thanks for your efforts to show it to us!
Reply:The Expanded metal allows dirt & muck to just fall through as well as allowing the Gas cans ventilation.Ed Conleyhttp://www.screamingbroccoli.com/MM252MM211 (Sold)Passport Plus & Spool gunLincoln SP135 Plus- (Gone to a good home)Klutch 120v Plasma cutterSO 2020 benderBeer in the fridge

Reply:BUT..You live on "SHAKEY GROUND" out there... Depending on where that truck travels..I would think solid front & rear end panels would keep a lot of misc. road trash/mud/slush out of the stored items. I keep seeing visions of everything in them caked with mud from the tires(mud guards won't stop it all).Easy enough to just add sheetmetal ends to eliminate that. Nice storage compartments though..good idea.
Reply:The owner is going to paint them and whatever crap makes its way inside can just be washed out with a hose. He wanted them open all around for easy cleaning. Thanks for the props guys.
