honestly has more to do with equipment capabilites than it does with best process. I am aware of the abilities of mig when properly configured to do the job i just dont know the limitations of my machine so I am collecting other feathers for my cap. Maybe you guys can tell me can a hobart handler 175 do globular transfer arc or short circuit arc. I am not really sure how thick it is raferguson but friends of mine have them and I will be getting a metal guage soon so i will mesure the gauge and get back to you on that one. I would venture to say thinner than cardboard and thicker than paper. The wieght requirments should be no more the 85 lbs.I started a spin off thread as the conversation has diverged from tig steel with silicone bronze.old thread http://weldingweb.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=52789
