I am currently using pulse mig welding to join a .156" 5052-H32 flat bar to a 1" square (.075 wall) 6063 tube. The flat bar is currently 1.625" wide and we are using the overhang to as the welding spot. There is about a 1" square contact surface between the parts. Is there any type of resistance welding or ultrasonic welding process that could be used in place of the mig? Thanks for any advice.Scott

Reply:I your looking for speed pulse mig with a push pull gun is it. Resistance on thin sections but not on what your welding. Are your welds not fast enough or is weld quality a factor?Last edited by ZTFab; 12-09-2010 at 05:21 PM.
