We have flux cored Mig wire.Whats stopping them developing gas-less flux cored Tig filler rod?

Reply:gnm109 is right on, & remember it takes over 6000 degrees (F) to melt (in open air ) tungsten ! if i can take a guess, maybe someday, they might substitute a plasma torch for a heli arc torch , but that might cost dollars compared to pennies for tig ? MY guess is if they had a better or cheaper substiture for tig, some co. would be touting it already . |
