I'm getting ready to move out of our house, and I'd like to find some info on this welder so I can list it for sale. I got it from my father in law before he passed away, but never really got any info on it. I would like to know a little more about it so I don't sounds like an idiot when trying to sell it I've posted a few links to the pics. The model # is K29L610GEDBH and serial # is 866-SNThanks for the help!Kylehttp://i41.photobucket.com/albums/e2...t/DSCN1028.jpghttp://i41.photobucket.com/albums/e2...t/DSCN1024.jpghttp://i41.photobucket.com/albums/e2...t/DSCN1026.jpg
Reply:I would list it as a G. E. 295 amp A.C. welder with leads. 220 volt single phase input. If it works it should be worth a few hundred dollars. It is probably a good coper wound machine with a lot of life left to go. It looks like an AC only machine.Dan
Reply:Agree, its still got lots of life left.. but.. the $200 price estimate is probably way too high.. I guess $75 would be closer to the mark. (How do I know? I'm trying to sell a similiar machine.. an AC / DC 240 volt machine and I'm looking for $150 with barely a nibble...)To the original poster.. check out prices on your local craigslist.org... then check out ebay auctions, sorted by distance (completed auctions with bids) to judge prices on your own. good luck with the sale (and the house move!)zip
Reply:Thanks for the replies guys. It's a good working unit with 50 foot leads. I did try looking around the area, but didn't find anything quite like it. But I'll keep searching. I wasn't expecting a lot out of it, but $75 almost makes it worth stripping it down for copper scrap. Not that I want to go through all that work. LOLAny idea of it's age?
Reply:Looking at the data plate, it appears that the welder can also be fed 460 Volts.I offer three choices: Good, Fast, & Cheap. You may pick two.Hobart AC/DC StikMate LXHarbor Freight AD HoodHarbor Freight Industrial Chop SawDeVilbis 20 Gallon, 5 HP Compressor |
