customer brought this tranny in to be repaired.   broken part.scrap piece of alum inserted in and welded up top ground down and hit with a buffing padready to be tapped and put back on Attached Images
Reply:I see how you filled in the old bolt holes to allow for redrilling, and tapping.Is there any way you can fill in the remaining pockets facing the camera, so they're flush with the casting, before you send it back.?The machinist will probably want to use a transfer punch inserted thru the part that bolts onto the casting in order to mark his center for drilling.  Also, the drill will want to wander if it doesn't start out on a flat flush surface.I may not be seeing the picture right."Any day above ground is a good day"http://www.farmersamm.com/
Reply:the hole on the left side is the only one that has to re-tapped. bottom half still has good threads for guiding the tap. put the bracket on and it fit flush. right side hole still has good threads. repair was for a local. he was a happy camper when he left.

Reply:I recognize that damage as I have been in body shops and dodge dealerships working before. One good impact in the frt of certain frt wheel drive cars (caravans mainly) breaks those mounts right off. Your repair looks very nice.
