Suspension A-arm

Several weeks back, one of my customer's got himself tangled up with a fewother cars on the track.  Interestingly enough he was able to limp the car back to the paddock with the damage that had resulted.  The carnage included:a broken rear lower a-arm, bent tracking rod, caved in rear rim and a damaged ego.We then checked our parts reserve and oops, no left rear lower a-arm.  So I then went through our inventory to pull out the lower rear a-arm jig for this car.... and oops again !  No jig...  .So.... Reply:Why the funky little piece of bologna-cut tube?  Will you cap it off and close it up to stiffen/strengthen that sharp angle on that tube?Spend all the time to make the jig and the job goes much faster and better, eh?  I see you labeled the jig.    The best laid schemes ... Gang oft agley ...

Reply:Great work on the jig and the a-arm. One of the things I really like about motorsport is the type of fabrication you get to see.Never knew they were bologna cuts, though.
