My called me today and said he had my christmas present.  Its a little early, but....I stopped by the LWS and picked up his give and even wrapped it.  I had no idea what he had for me, but he is in his first year of vocational school taking welding.  I have build 20 or so of these full size grills.  I have never even thought of one like this.  My son just turned 17 on thanksgiving.All welds are Tig.  He thought it up on his own.Last edited by David R; 12-09-2008 at 08:50 PM.Real world weldin.  When I grow up I want to be a tig weldor.
Reply:This is what I got him.  He has been using a harbor freight AD.Its a Miller Elite.I am also a mechanic and own a garage.  I like the pistons.First weld with new helmet.  It had to be TIG Real world weldin.  When I grow up I want to be a tig weldor.

Reply:All I've ever used is a Harbor Freight AD.  Are the more expensive name brands better?  Can you see the arc/pool better with one of them?Doug
