Is this the deal or am I missing something?http://cgi.ebay.com/LINCOLN-PRECISIO...QQcmdZViewItemThe welding shop near my house had a 185 lincoln tig for a little over $2000 so when I saw this I wondered if being a newbie I am missing something important.
Reply:i'd just continue the search for a real watercooled machine..if your going to concentrate on aluminum watercooled all the way.....zap!I am not completely insane..Some parts are missing Professional Driver on a closed course....Do not attempt.Just because I'm a dumbass don't mean that you can be too.So DON'T try any of this **** l do at home.
Reply:Aluminum only occasionally. Mostly steel. (A man's material)
Reply:IOC is a solid company. I would have no problem bidding on this one. You can bypass e-bay and buy direct by calling IOC. You will save a few $ dollars off there buy it now price. For a few $ more you can get Thermal Arc Arcmaster 185 if you want an inverter. I was not impressed with Lincolns torch. ( The woven cloth covering snag and gets torn up pretty easy. The pulser on the Lincoln only sets the pulse rate. )The Thermal has a full function pulser but the Lincoln wins in the output amps.DennisThermal Arc 185-TSWMillermatic Challenger 172VictorO/AAtlas Craftsman 12 by 24 LatheEsab PCM-875Wholesalem Tool Mill-Drill

Reply:I got scared off of lincolns because they do not want to repair machines that are out of warranty (I read this in another post on page 9) I found an Thermal Arc Arcmaster 185 that I have ordered. Everyone seems to be positive about that one.
