Stopped by the local Airgas to pick up some flapper wheels and noticed a brand new PM255 for $1525. That really bummed me out as I paid $1400 for my PM215 a few months back. Anyhow, turns out some guy got a great deal on it, but then had to back out due to an injury. It is out front in the Groton, CT Airgas on Rt 184 near Walmart. Reply:Not to threadjack but what is your opinion of the 215??
Reply:The only complaint I have is the use of taps instead of the infinitely variable settings that the 255 has. But then, I am such a hack that I probably will never need that many settings. The 215 is great for what I do, mostly welding 1/4", sometimes up to 1/2".Building a Jeep from the ground up as a graduation present for my kid.
