Compact bender plans

Hi! My father want's to build its own compact bender. Does someone knows if there is a good site to look for some plans? I've search the web and all I could find was one site selling a plan for 25$ but there was no picture of how the bender looks like so ...  He wants to build one similar to the 2020 Compact Bender found on http://www.shopoutfitters.com/2020CompactBender.html. Reply:cosmetically at least that one looks like the Harbor Freight bender but $500 more than the HF one.  I wonder if the quality is worth the difference or not (I know HF quality is crap but this time I would be tempted to go with HF).  Would be cheaper than $25 for plans and the steel and the work. I do wonder if the shop outfitters attachements like scroll work would fit the HF bender, if that is the case, I would be very interested.Last edited by mikeyr; 08-08-2005 at 03:48 PM.
Reply:AKNOTH, do you have the link to the plan site? Over here in the UK you can't (AFAIK) buy ANY sort of compact bender, good bad or simply indifferent, so plans would be a start! Mitch

Reply:In the UK you should be able to get really good, really expensive compact benders- you are just across the channel from those continentals, and the Germans make some of the best benders around. Reply:$125 my cost, bends 1" pipe 17 second cycle also 3/4" pipe. Best features: Two button operation and freedom of movement. Now you know why I am Gocartkits. God bless the lazy ones. They will work forever to make something easy. Someone referenced some plans for $25. I wondered if it was mine.
