So, before I start back into TIG, trashing consumables and wasting argon, I thought I'd go back to gas welding that I learned almost 20 years ago in HS/CC.How do they look?O~4-5psiA~4 psi#2 Victor tip on a Super Range1/8" mild steel3/32" RG45 filler.A couple pics of 5 beads. 2 from front and two backsides. Camera lighting may be effecting the "brightness" appearance.Seemed like the two on the outsides and the one in the middle had more of a nice bead shape in profile (couldn't get a good profile shot) - the others, I changed my add filler rythmn a little. No laughing please... (Well, OK...to yourself only...)Mike Attached Images

Reply:Thanks for the feedback folks, feels good to be melting metal again Right on Zap - I welded some pieces together today - butt joints - been beating them over backwards to get them to break and it ain't happening (at least with the cheap vice and hammer I've got) ...I'll post more pics tomorrow after a couple more runs!Mike |
