so i went for a new job and i had to show them what i could do, to my suprise they said i was going to do some flux core. That scared the hell out of me because i never even tried it before (ok maybe once).I passed thier flat, horizontal and vertical up. I welded the seams at a slow steady pace like i was running a 7018 rod. My question is can you whip it like hard wire or is a steady movement best? For the vertical up i did a slight side to side weave, man I find it runs smother the stick.I must say i found flux core way easier then hard wire when i was first starting out.Last edited by steve28; 11-28-2006 at 11:14 AM.
Reply:The only movement of the wire that you should use is a z-weave during vert-up. Good job on passing the tests!
Reply:ya i would say it was a z weave! |
