I have an ford plow truck that has a broken tail shaft case.the transmission is cast steel and then aluminum tailshaft which bolts to transfer case.the ears are busted where they bolt to transmisson.which would be best, mig or tig?if welded do you think it will hold up?or would it be best to get new case?I think it broke, because transfer case just hangs off transmission, there is no type of brackets or cross member to support it.I was thinking about fabing up a crossmember for it.this is only plow truck for my yard never goes on road.would appreciate any input, thanks.
Reply:you'd have to tig it..it should hold up fine..and fabbing up an extra crossmember wont hurt.....zap!I am not completely insane..Some parts are missing Professional Driver on a closed course....Do not attempt.Just because I'm a dumbass don't mean that you can be too.So DON'T try any of this **** l do at home.
Reply:Thanks zap.apprecate it. |
