Just about time to get my bottle ( I own it, purchased brand new several years ago at LWS) refilled. Wondering what most folks are paying for an 80 cf bottle fill. I was quoted $51 at LWS. I think that seems a bit high. Thanks,GregLincoln Idealarc 250 (circa 1962)Lincoln Weldpak 155 w/Mig KitLincoln Squarewave TIG 175
Reply:I pay $12 to get my 150cf swapped. I own mine
Reply:Jeeze, Im goin to Florida!!! My 80 cf was like $43 or so here in southern ohio.[Account Abandoned 8/8/16 Please Do Not Attempt Contact Or Expect A Reply]. See you on YouTube! -ChuckE2009
Reply:i'm in western ky, i pay just under $30 for 120 or 125cf i swap bottles, dont own the bottle, but dont pay a lease either...  i just have a cash account, not a business account....  seems most places ive been in charge an individual more than they do a business...the local airgas here wanted near $50 to fill the same size bottle.. and wouldnt do it without me paying a year lease.. i took my business elsewhere. i would go elsewhere if i were you..Last edited by brucer; 07-10-2011 at 07:09 PM.tackleexperts.comwww.necessityjigs.comhttps://www.facebook.com/groups/mach...dingequipment/
Reply:Wow 50 bucks is pretty steep, I pay $80 to get my 300cf of straight argon filled, and I think the mixed gas is a little less per bottle.
Reply:I believe that mixed gas cost more/ some one has to mix it. We are paying $35 for a 330 cu cylinder. We have been quoted as low a$30. by another co to get our business. welderbobSound Marine custom aluminum boats .
Reply:I just payed $32 for a 280? cuft of 75/25 (at metroplex service welding supply)before that i took 2) 150 cuft to airgas and exchanged at $45 ea (rip off)i think metoplex changed me $25 to fill a 150 in the pasthomedepot swaps my  150's for $30 (if there in stock)homedepot is closest and easiest (and open on saturday and sunday)airgas is second closest( but i will never go back)metroplex is far and not open when i need them to beI bought all my clylinders off of CL, 10 total
Reply:I am paying just under $50 for my 340 cu/ft cylinders. I own all of mine and usually have them swapped out at the same time. Nearly 14 in all. They have to provide me with HazMat info in the event I get pulled over!I will say my savings are offset by the outrageous costs of acetylene!I deal exclusively with Praxair.http://jackalopefab.com/MM210Synchrowave 200DXMiller XMT350 w/60series feederMiller Bobcat 250 with SGA 100 and spoolgunHTP PlasmaFull Machine shop with everything
Reply:i pay 20 bucks for 120 cubic footers , i think its around 35 for my big cylinders though , i have two smaller ones i carry exclusively in the trailer unless i know i am going to be doing alot of mig or tig.  I try to run the larger cylinders any time i can as it seems its a waste of time to use the little guys and they cost moreI forgot how to change this.
Reply:Thanks a bunch for all the pricing input. As I said in my original post, I felt the price I was quoted was kind of steep...and these are the people I bought the cylinder from originally.AMC724, you have given me good info, because I'm on the north side of the metroplex and my local Home Depot does have welding gas exchange.Lincoln Idealarc 250 (circa 1962)Lincoln Weldpak 155 w/Mig KitLincoln Squarewave TIG 175
