Reply:The fitup looks really good.  You can look at the parallel lines in the pics, and see that it's square.Because you did the work, you'll know where it's maybe 1/32 out.  It'll drive you nuts, but it's the way you get progressively better.  Best fitup in the world, and the damn metal moves on ya when you weld it."Any day above ground is a good day"http://www.farmersamm.com/
Reply:Nice job. You would think they would just start making them with wheels on them.Good judgement comes from experience.Experience comes from bad judgement.

Reply:I think I made the cart a little too big.  oh well maybe my new tig welder will fit better Attached ImagesLincoln 255XT Power Mig                                                                    Lincoln Precision Tig 225Hypertherm Powermax 30
Reply:I don't think it's too big.  More table area, and it won't tip over if you hit a crack or something while pulling/pushing it around.Large enough to maybe add other modifications, and stuff to it later if you ever  need to."Any day above ground is a good day"http://www.farmersamm.com/
Reply:Great job!  You have given me inspiration for my next project.  What did you use for the top? Thanks,Joe

Reply:looks gooood!!!Ya gotta spend money to make money!
Reply:Nice looking set up Rich.  I don't think you'll regret the wide stance of that cart and there's plenty of room for when you upgrade to a 1250!MM200 w/Spoolmatic 1Syncrowave 180SDBobcat 225G Plus - LP/NGMUTT Suitcase WirefeederWC-1S/Spoolmatic 1HF-251D-1PakMaster 100XL '68 Red Face Code #6633 projectStar Jet 21-110Save Second Base!
Reply:What might also be nice would be a pull out drawer for storage of consumables, clamps,  vise grips, hammer, etc, etc. I would have it come out one of the sides.Co-Own CNC shop:Miller :1251 plasma cutter, MaxStar 700 TIG/Stick, & XMT 456 Multiprocess Welder.&  2 Hypertherm HPR260's Plasma CutterSorry I had a bad stroke but now I am back.
Reply:I gotta tell ya, you have good taste!!  and your cart looks really nice!  I like the fact that you made it wide enough to protect it from falling over.  I recently purchased a PM45 and I am likely to pickup either a MM252 or a Lincoln 255xt (like yours)I am still carrying mine around by the handle and dragging the torch/ground around (the ground cable sucks as it is to darn stiff to coil)  By the way I also purchased a Dynasty 200dx and I am looking to build a cart for it as well.  No doubt the best way to learn is to "build something"!TimA rich man is not the one who has the most but instead one who needs theleast. Reply:thanks guys,  spector,  how are you? I actually thought about putting a drawer or some type of box welded to the front of it.   but I keep all that stuff either in a small tool box alongside of the cutter or under my welding table so I opted not to put one.Lincoln 255XT Power Mig                                                                    Lincoln Precision Tig 225Hypertherm Powermax 30
