Got a little work done today

Frame for the floor, welding skid.I'm still crazy about the 7018Seemed to run pretty consistantly, but with a little more spatter, and a slightly rougher bead today.  The can is going on a month old.  And winds were running around 25 today.  I don't know if it's a function of separate things, or a combination.Had to tie a boat anchor to my butt to keep from movin' around in the windThe corner tie ins on the tubing are consistent weld after weld after weld.  It's the first time I've been really confident in a good watertight seal.  Woo Hoo!!!!!!!!!!I love this stuff  Gonna give the can a big ol' smooch Attached Images"Any day above ground is a good day"http://www.farmersamm.com/
Reply:Looks good to me. The more you use 7018 the more you will like it and before you know it the slag will be peeling off. Keep tweeking the machine until you find that sweet spot.

Reply:Looks real good, Samm!!! Don't let those others razz ya too much. I'm one of those "wussy" thunderbolt owners and I love it. And,yes, I learned on some pretty crude welders. For the record, I have two "BLUE" ones, the thunderbolt and a 175 MIG. I'm still lookin' at plasmas, haven't decided yet.
