S.S. Basket

The local co-op wanted me to fabricate a s.s. basket so they could remelt their butter, paper and all to turn into cream.  So I started by rolling 12' sections of 3/8" s.s round.  Then I found some scrap and cnc'd a 15.25" hole in it so I could make the base and top true.  1/4" round was used for the height and expanded for the sides.  Speaking of expanded, that stuff dosn't want to roll for nothing, so I had to roll it up, tie it with welding wire and stuff it in the framework.  You can see when I trimmed the expanded to length, it sprung out pretty straight again.  It was kinda a pain to weld the expanded to one of the 1/4" rounds because at 2', it was quite a bit of a stretch and the view was horrible.  After I welded it up, I sent it down the road to be acid cleaned. Reply:Nice basket.But remelting butter and the paper wrappers "to turn into cream"?  WTF?  You take the cream, whip/churn it and it turns into butter when the little butter/milk fat molecules in the cream all clump together and thus you have butter.Unless there is some funky industrial process going on, AFAIK it's a one-way process from cream-to-butter.  The best laid schemes ... Gang oft agley ...
