Anyone use stuff like this to keep the tube from collapsing or kinking ?I think brass musical instrument makers use something... like pitch, tar, asphalt ...Weldandpower Lincoln 225 AC,DC with Briggs 16hp gas engine.WW2 era Miller TIG.

Reply:I've used salt in smaller tubes. That way you can rinse it out when sand can get stuck.

Reply:We used sand years ago it was the thing 20 yrs ago when you could'nt afford anything hydraulic. It was good to know and it works!wbolden
