Shop in Progress

Attached Pictures are of shop I am working on - may slip a extra or two in - I will try to put them in some kind of order..the original then east side and then west side. As you can see there will be three areas, the original which houses some storage and tools and a good working area, east side is for woodworking and it's tools, west side will be for welding area, don't go ballistic with the wood interior walls for it aint finished yet. Reply:New welders still in the box and my other stuff is still in my old shop at my son's house - formally mine. Trying to get the welding side all done first, work benches etc to come. If it wasnt for the shop and the outside I think alot of us would just go beserk.

Reply:I know Midland is out in the patch and it stays fairly warm but don't you get any ice or hard rain? Just asking cause the additions look like they are flat roofed.

Reply:Info on the shop; the original shop is 16 x 32; I added 10 x 32 on each side; yes it does look flat, only 4 inches of slope over 10 feet, I thought that would be good enough for out here, I could have really added another 3 or 4 inches and it would not have hurt anything. I dont remember when we last got a measureable rain, a week or so ago it drizzled enough for it to run off the shop, so i guess the slope is ok. I finish the interior of the west side today and will begin working on the door for that side. I am going to put a sliding door approx 7 tall x 8 wide that will slide to the inside. Frame will be out of 1 x 3 sq tubing covered with light weight material, maybe 1/4 in stuff on each side. Once I get it secure I can begin moving my tools and stuff from the other location over to here. It is not very accessable but we have had some theifs out in these area esp when people start loosing their jobs or when the economy is down like it is. Just blessed to be able to do this but we have saved a long time and we dont travel..just work around the home place. 74Fencer I checked on the 50 amp breaker and at the local big box it was around 15-16 bucks. Will post some more pics later and I promise to have some welders and cutting stuff in the pics.

Reply:the additions seam to have very little pitch for drainage...  just curious how your handling the water issue
