Hi all Im looking to bend some metal stock (between 1/8th and 1/4") over a tube, in order for the metal to conform to the tube. Is there any other ways besides an O/a rig to ben the metal?ThanksDustin

Reply:What is the reason that you don't want to use O/A torch? Given enough time you could get it done with a cheap mapp gas torch. You could get a bed of charcoal going and rig up a shop vac or leaf blower to make it burn hotter. However in most towns you could rent an O/A torch for the cost and cost of time in rigging something up. Is there some reason that it have to be bent cold?
Reply:no reasons against o/a, i just dont have one...thought maybe there was something else i could use |
