Reply:i learn a lot from making my metal sculptures. On the bottom photo shown, I used Rust Oleum paint after sandblasting. Then primer and finish coat.It lasted 10 years in storage and the paint was still good.I had tried other brands and applied them perfectly, and they only lasted 2-3 years. The Rust Oleum paint has fish oil in it and does not have as many microscopic holes in the surface to allow corrosion to get started.AWS certified welding inspectorAWS certified welder

Reply:That 3rd one reminds me very much of Alex Calder's work. Very cool.I agree about Rustoleum. That's all I ever use. It been berry berry good to me..."We live in an age when unnecessary things are our only necessities. " - Oscar WildeMaxstar STL150Eagle CPM30 Bender
Reply:Very creative! I do not understand the first peice but the other two look very nice. For finishes I personally beleive that powder coating or automotive paints are A#1. I have worked on a few artistic projects myself and I am finishing some of them up. I will take pictures and post them when I am done. |
