About a month ago, I picked up a little Lincoln 3200HD at HomeDepot for a damn good price after the discounts and promotional offers.  I must say it does OK for it's size. Welds like a champ on what welding I'm doing right now.  I opted for the 110V because I live in an apartment complex where we have our own private garage attached to our unit.  It only has two 110V twin receptacles, and one of them is in the ceiling, half occupied by the garage door opener.  Running a 220V extension cord upstairs to the dryer outlet would be a big hassle and besides, all I have to weld right now is sheet metal anyway.  I'll upgrade when I buy a house.Anyway, I used some 1" angle iron to make a new welder cart.  The one that comes with the welder is a **** poor little thing with a holder for only a small bottle.  My bottle is about 2.5 feet tall and 7" diameter.  So here's what I did to not only hold the bottle, but get the welder up off the floor a little.(click thumbnails to enlarge)That was Sunday.  Tonight I finished it up, aside from a couple bolts that need to go in the rear casters.Ground down the welds and tacked in a sheet metal support for the bottle. Added a quickie hanger off one side for the cables.  The hanger looks like crap, but it was getting late when I added that, and didn't want to wait until tomorrow to do more grinding (being considerate for the neighbors).  Then, gave it a quick coat of spray paint and moved the wheels from the original "cart" to the welder's new home.   I had the bottle bungee strapped against a desk in the garage (haha) and the welder would only move so far.  So, now that I have the new cart made, I can move it all over the garage and work on my truck.  ->Project Thread - 98SS BaggedAir Ride Questions Answered on AirRideTalk.com!!!DOT PTC FittingsDOT Compression FittingsAdaptersDOT Airline
Reply:Nice!
Reply:Very nice for a first cart. Later on, you may want to add bigger wheels so it will roll over extension cords and such a little easier. Overall, great design.John -  fabricator extraordinaire, car nut!-  bleeding Miller blue! http://www.weldfabzone.com
Reply:Okay, 98SS, I'll bite... what keeps the bottle from falling out the back end?
Reply:very nice mig cart. oh, are you gonna add a handle to pull it around with? its a nice cart either way, i was just wondering.

Reply:Looks good 98SS. Do you have a work bench/welding bench ? Next project maybe. Makes squaring and clamping parts to the bench easy for jigging.T.J.www.tjsperformance.com
Reply:I'd love to make one, but I'd have to make it so that I could collapse it down and move it out of the way every time.  I just don't have the room in the garage that I want.  I want a house and a metal building out back for my shop.  But that's a long way away.->Project Thread - 98SS BaggedAir Ride Questions Answered on AirRideTalk.com!!!DOT PTC FittingsDOT Compression FittingsAdaptersDOT Airline
